Help make the magic happen — before and during the tour!

We’re looking for friendly, creative, and reliable volunteers to help bring Desert Open Studios to life. From behind-the-scenes organizing to welcoming visitors during the tour weekend, there’s a role for every schedule and skillset.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! Many of our roles require no prior experience—just reliability, enthusiasm, and a willingness to help. We’ll guide you through anything you need to know.
We have roles that take just a few hours, as well as ongoing opportunities starting in the fall. You can volunteer before the tour, during the event weekend (Jan 23–25), or both—whatever works for your schedule.
Yes! When you sign up, you can tell us your preferred role(s), and we’ll do our best to match you with a task that suits your interests and availability.
Some roles are solo (like delivering materials), while others are team-based (like event setup or info tables). If you’d like to be paired with a friend or placed in a group, just let us know!
We’ll start matching volunteers to roles as soon as we receive applications. Most roles will be assigned in late October and continue through early January. Event weekend shifts will be confirmed a couple weeks before the tour.
Absolutely! Just mention it on the signup form and we’ll do our best to keep you together or assign you to the same area.
You’ll receive a confirmation email from our team. Depending on your availability and chosen role, we’ll follow up with more details and training closer to the event.
